Abstract
The latest IPCC report highlighted how different development patterns affect differently the environment and could lead to more or less GHG emissions. “Energy use, land-use […], lifestyle and patterns of consumption and production” are key elements of development pathways to shift towards sustainability. This could be achieved through broadening mitigation responses by understanding its enablers and barriers, that create synergies with development objectives.
These development pathways and their barriers and enablers will help us guide the next steps for climate ambition and cooperation. That is why this event will also discuss how they can be relevant to organize the ongoing Global Stocktake, through the including discussions on barriers and enablers, with a system change point of view.
