Valuing landscape connections

In managed socio-ecosystems, the value of the diffusion and dispersal of environmental processes is rarely studied. In this work, I develop a dynamic programming framework to recover a generic value of dispersal properties in landscapes. Further, I investigate how shocks to dispersal leads to persistence and path dependence in spatial-socioecosystems, using a variety of settings, ranging from species dispersal to wildfire spread.
