Jean-Charles Hourcade, member of the drafting group for the IPCC synthesis report, proposes a deciphering session to situate this report in the succession of IPCC reports since 1995 in relation to the dynamics of international negotiations, to show its tacit arbitrations and their link with the aftermath of the 1°5 C report as interpreted in the various regions of the world, and to explain its potential consequences on the structuring of climate issues in a geopolitical context. He will conclude with research issues for the coming period.
