THE CHAIR MODELING FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Explore possible futures and inform future consequences of decisions and choices of today are the ambitions of the CMA (MINES ParisTech) and the CIRED (Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées-AgroParisTech) by creating, in France, this resources centre of long-term modeling for sustainable development issues.
The project of the Chair Modeling for Sustainable Development is based on three axes in order to tackle the energy, environmental and economics constraints faced by industrials and policy makers in their strategic choices :
Emergence of a perennial prospective platform for decision-making to the Economy-Resources-Climate interfaces ;
Strengthened the French presence in key areas of national and international expertise for sustainable development ;
Addressing the national shortage of a training "on and by" the prospective approach.
